From the outset, Doug’s commitment to quality and reliability earned PML a reputation as a leader in the industry. His philosophy was simple yet profound: do things right the first time, every time.
Under Doug’s leadership, PML expanded its offerings to include custom steel fabrication, plumbing, heating, and process piping. As the company grew, it became clear that the principles driving PML’s success could be applied to other industries. This realization sparked the growth of what would become the Patrick Group of Companies.

As PML thrived, Doug Patrick saw opportunities to expand beyond mechanical contracting. Patrick Sprack Ltd. (PSL): With an increasing need for integrated electrical and HVAC solutions, PSL was established to deliver energy-efficient systems that power businesses and industrial facilities.
Greater City Concrete Works (GCCW): Recognizing the demand for high-quality concrete services, GCCW was established to provide reliable, precision-built structures that would support small to large-scale industrial, commercial and institutional projects.
S2 Metal Fabricators: As the demand for custom metal fabrication grew, S2 Metal Fabricators was brought into the fold to offer structural steel fabrication services that delivered strength and durability for any project.
Bisschops Industries: Understanding the critical role of HVAC and electrical services in both industrial and commercial settings, Bisschops Industries was created to provide specialized solutions that ensure comfort, efficiency, and reliability.
Founded in 1956, L. May MFG Inc. has been a trusted name in the manufacturing of high-quality aluminum lunchboxes, combining functionality with enduring style. Recently acquired by the Patrick Group, L. May continues to innovate while benefiting from the resources and support of our larger network.
BadRiverBoats: Inspired by the rugged beauty of Ontario’s waterways, BadRiverBoats was founded to offer custom aluminum boats designed for both work and adventure.
NFS Auto Repair: The automotive industry also presented a unique opportunity for growth. NFS Auto Repair was established to provide comprehensive fleet maintenance services that keep fleet vehicles in peak condition.
